Reviews are extremely helpful for your website's social proof, so if you are moving to our app, don't forget to import your existing reviews.

If you have been using another reviews app for Shopify (Yotpo, Kudobuzz, etc) or have reviews on other platforms, then you can easily export them in a CSV file from their admin panel.

What is the CSV file for reviews?

CSV stands for comma-separated values, a file format (.csv) for spreadsheets. You can use CSV files to import and export reviews, products, customers, inventory, orders (export only), and discounts (export only). Here's how you can prepare the CSV file and have your reviews imported into our app:

1. Download the CSV file

2. Fill in the details of reviews

Please make sure that your CSV file has this format:

Customer ID - ID of the customer [required];

Author/User - the author name [required];

Text - the review's message [required];

Email - the author's email [required];

Rating - rating value from 1 to 5 (default value is 5);

Product - your product id, product handle, or product URL (if not set then the review belongs to your site reviews);

Date - review date, format: YYYY-MM-DD HH:MM:SS (default value is Now);

Images - comma separated ('http://image-url/image1.jpg', 'http://image-url/image1.jpg', 'http://image-url/image1.jpg')

Title - before the import, you should enable the following setting in the Growave Admin-> Review settings:

Note: You can choose between two suitable fields: Customer ID or Email. The app automatically differentiates between two main fields. If one of the fields is empty and another is filled, the information will be taken from the filled one. To make it work properly, ensure your CSV file has both fields (Email, Customer ID) and corresponds to this format. Even if you don't have any Customer ID fields, you must include at least a column with its name.

How to import the reviews CSV file?

Once your file is ready, please visit Settings → Import Center → Reviews in our dashboard to upload the file.
