Turn your customers into loyal advocates and let them represent you to new potential buyers. With the Referral program, you can motivate your existing customers to bring their friends to your store. The only program that lets you reward both - is the referrer(sender) and referee (receiver).

How does the Referral Program work? 

The Sender of the link is able to start participating in the Rewards program by signing up in your shop.

Also, the Sender doesn't have to create a link since a unique one is already created in the shop. It can be found on the Rewards page/tab, and on the Referral page (you can find it by entering yourshopdomain/pages/referral). Then the Sender may copy this link and share it with a Receiver via any social media platform.

Another essential condition for the Receiver is to be a new customer for your shop, which means that they must not have an account or any orders placed in your store.

Here is the appearance in the Rewards tab:

The Receiver should follow the referral link, which was sent by the Sender, enter an email address here, and click on 'Claim':

After that, Receiver gets an email where the customer can redeem a reward after registering on the shop. So the Sender on their end will receive their Reward once the Receiver will place the first order on your shop.

NOTE: The Sender receives a reward if the Receiver made a purchase in the store (with or without using the discount) and passed all filters (first purchase on the store, no previous account existing on the store, and passed the filter of reports).

Here in the Analytics section, you may check the Referral program activity to see how many members there are in the program, the total revenue from the program, and the orders made:

You may see which customers referred their friends and the order details as well.

To set rewards for the Referral program, please, go here: Dashboard > Rewards > Referral program:

Sender Option

The sender will get the reward by email when the receiver will make a purchase on your shop. You can reward the sender with points or discounts like a fixed amount discount, a percentage discount, free shipping, or free product, as well as a gift card, free product, and no reward:

You may reward the sender according to the amount the receiver of the link spent on the store with the "Reward ratio" reward:

Receiver Option

When following the referral link, the receiver has to connect to the store (i.e. create an account on your shop) in order to get a reward. You can reward the receiver with discounts like a fixed amount discount, a percentage discount, or free shipping. Also, there are the options of a gift card, free product, and no reward:

You can choose if you want to apply the rewards of the Sender and the Receiver to all products or the selected collections by clicking on the "More options" link:

Manage reports

In the 'Fraud Detection' section, we track the users who may cheat on the program. All of the suspicious activity will be sent to the email addresses you mentioned. You can add more than one here:

Now we track users and send you notifications and you can find this information in the Reports section:

  • If the order is made by the sender of the referral link;
  • If the receiver has the same initials as the sender;
  • If the receiver has the same shipping address as the sender.

NOTION: When you receive notifications about suspicious activity in the Referral Program, you will be able to see which people tried to abuse it and will be given the matter of abuse, e.g, the receiver has the same initials as the sender. In these cases, the Receiver of the link does get a discount and can use it on their purchase, Growave only reports to you about such occurrences so you can take action on your end individually and you may decide on your end whether to fulfill this customer's order or not.

However, our app does block the reward for the Sender of the link and you may assign a status as Declined and the Sender will no longer take part in the Referral program. If you set up the status as Approved, we will send an email with the reward to the Sender of the link.
